Green Green Green Green Green (And Prizes too!)

IT'S EARTH DAY AND WE'RE GIVING STUFF AWAY!

Last week, we used reams of paper paying our taxes. This week it's time to repent by planting some trees and spending some time outside in the fresh air, far away from the dastardly agents of the IRS. Whee! It's Earth Day! And Untitled is like, going, like, totally green! Don't miss this week's meeting - we're giving away cool stuff!

THIS WEEK'S GREEN MEETING: MEMBERSHIP PLANNING!
Last week's brainstorming session went excellently - now it's time for you to jump in and do stuff. Ever wanted to know more about what makes Untitled tick? Or how YOU can get involved - and get your name plastered across Nashville as one of our illustrious show chairs? Or what the heck a Chinkapin Oak is? Then come to this week's meeting!

Seriously, we highly recommend you attend and help us plan for the future. If you rarely come to meetings - but care about Untitled - show up!

BONUS! This week we'll be giving away some cool Earth Day prizes. Can anyone say... RAFFLE?

NEXT WEEK'S LESS GREEN MEETING
On April 29th we'll be having our GLOW committee meeting. We'll start the ball rolling and hopefully get some fine artists to start volunteering for the many opportunties a major show like this presents. Have you ever wanted to curate? To promote art? To get behind the scenes of a huge party in the dark? This is your chance to GLOW!

GREEN PARKING
Free street parking downtown; free parking in lot on corner next to gallery.

GREEN TIPS
Have an extra post-consumer folding chair? Bring it!

Also, this week, in respect for The Earth, please refrain from bringing bottled water, paints containing lead, cadmium or oil, Hummers, plastic objects, any clothing except for hemp, cotton or linen items, incandescent bulbs, paper made from trees, etc. Additionally, walking to the meeting is encouraged. (Actually... nevermind all that. Just show up. No one's perfect!)]

UNTITLED ADOPTS A TREE WITH A CRAZY NAME
Long Hunter Earth Day Festival takes place this weekend, April 25-26. And, since artists love to paint trees - and sit under them, Untitled has adopted one of the 44 trees in their NEW Arboretum. For you naturalists out there, the tree we've sponsored is a beautiful native known as the Chinkapin Oak. You can also get involved! There will be programs all day both days that include many noteable naturalists (try to say that three times fast) as well as the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Arboretum. More details HERE. Additionally, Untitled's own Tina Ahyoka is the official trail stencil-painting diva. Her paint will mark the location of each and every tree. Rock on, Tina!

NOTE: This week's e-mail was composed of 100% post-consumer ones and zeros. In the past, we've cut down virgin digital forests and made them into newsletters - but no longer. From now on, all our e-mails will be greener than a sea-sick frog. Thank you.

Earth Day? Try Mars Day!
(An Alternate Perspective)

Not being from your pathetic planet, we of the Red Planet would rather celebrate Mars Day. And soon, the entire universe will be celebrating our dominion and enslavement of all races and worlds.

But don't let that stop you earthlings from your festivities. Soon, when the Death Rays are pointed towards Terra, it will be nice for you to have fond memories of the days before Earth was baked as red as the heavenly abode of the God of War.

That is all. Now get back to your nalgene bottles and tree-planting, silly humans.
