Sweet Tea follow-up at tonight's meeting

MEETING / NEWS

We will be meeting this Wednesday, September 26th at 7:30pm. Meetings are always open to ALL artists and are casual and friendly.
Location: Kazu restaurant in Cummins Station (209 10th avenue south). Parking: FREE There is a lot on the corner of 10th and Lea. Street parking is also free at the time of our meeting.

At this week’s meeting:

- Artists who sold work at Sweet Tea may pick up their checks.

- We will discuss the good and the bad of Sweet Tea. What went well, what didn’t go so well, and how can we improve in the future? If you were involved in Sweet Tea in any way, please try to make it to the meeting. If you can’t make the meeting, send us an email and tell us your thoughts.

- The December show will need some attention soon. We would like to start getting folks involved by volunteering for chairs, brainstorming for titles, discussing the possibility of live work, etc. Bring your ideas!

- Untitled is planning a documentary. Wanna know more and need to find out about how you can get involved? Come to the meeting.

meeting tonight - exploring new ideas

Hello Everyone!



The Fall show, “Sweet Tea”, was awesome. We’re hearing lots of great feedback about the art, the atmosphere, the location of the venue, and volunteer experience. Thank you for making it happen!

Artists who sold work may pick up their check at NEXT week’s meeting on the 26th.

MEETING TONIGHT

UNTITLED PRESENTS FALL SHOW 2007: "SWEET TEA"

UNTITLED ARTISTS GROUP PRESENTS FALL SHOW 2007: "SWEET TEA" Nashville, TN Nashville's UNTITLED artists' group invites you to enjoy a tall, cool glass of "Sweet Tea", Friday, September 14th at Bar Twenty3. This free, one-night-only art event will be held at Bar Twenty3, 503 12th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203. Over 60 innovative and upcoming Nashville visual artists will refresh your palette with delicious paintings, sweet photography, and cool mixed-media. "Sweet Tea" is the latest in a series of successful quarterly exhibitions that support artistic innovation and offer alternative visual arts in non-traditional spaces.

UNTITLED has introduced new artists to the community since 1991, is comprised of several hundred artists, and has left an indelible stamp on the burgeoning Nashville art scene. UNTITLED members include staff and exhibiting artists from Zeitgeist, Dangenart, Plowhaus, Twist Gallery, and (fov) gallery. UNTITLED members also include art faculty, students, and graduates from Watkins College of Art and Design, Belmont University, Vanderbilt University, Savannah College of Art and Design, Lipscomb University, TSU, Fisk University and MTSU.




"Sweet Tea" will take place Friday, September 14th from 6 to 10 p.m. in Bar Twenty3, 503 12th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203. Bar Twenty3 has been selected as one of the top 100 clubs in the nation by Nightclub and Bar Magazine. Admission is free, and the public is invited to see what Untitled has brewing, meet and mingle with the artists, all while viewing art, and refreshing their spirits to the downbeat melodies of DJ Tony Solo from Evansville, Indiana as well as Bar Twenty3's myriad of drinks and snacks provided by Untitled. Patrons may purchase artwork by cash, check or charge and may take their pieces home with them at 10pm that evening. Untitled is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting artists, reaching new art audiences, and offering alternative visual arts experiences in the Nashville community. The group's meetings and shows provide opportunities for artists to connect, collaborate and learn from each other. All artists at all levels and in all media are invited to attend weekly meetings at Kazu in Cummins Station, and to participate in quarterly exhibitions. The deadline for artists to register for "Sweet Tea" is September 9th. New artists are encouraged to show. Workshop, Poster pick-up tonight

Hello!


Thank you to the artists from Minneapolis for stopping by our meeting last week. (www.mplsart.com ) These 4 artists (Isaac Arvold, John Grider, Eric Inkala and Drew Peterson) have a show at Twist gallery and were also in town working on a mural on the Viridian building downtown. Congratulations to Ayjey! Her poster design had the most votes at last week's meeting.
