"Houston... we have a poster!"

If we'd thought of them, those words might very well have marked the epic choosing of the official poster for our spring show, "MOJO." And unlike the moon landing, this poster is real. One small step for Dustin Dirt! (our intrepid designer and design contest winner), one great poster for Untitled.

CALL FOR IMAGES

Do you have a good picture of the piece you'll be displaying in MOJO? Send it to us! We need images for our show PR. Getting your picture in there is a great way to get free press for your art!

March 12: PO Box Mail Payment must be Postmarked by today
March 14: Registration and Paypal Option by midnight
March 17: Last Meeting before Show (ready to hang review?)
March 24: Art Drop Off 6pm-7:30pm
March 25: Installation 9-7pm
March 26: Untitled Art Show 6-10pm
March 27: Clean up 10am to 1pm

Remember, the title is just a title, not a theme, unless you choose to use it as a theme for your art. (Please, avoid attempts to use that "old black majick" on our president. She's married. And she knows Offensive Yoga, the ancient art of flexible DEATH!)

WEEKLY MEETING - WEDNESDAY, February 17, 2010

Awesomely enough, Untitled has been granted the opportunity to meet at the gallery/studio of local art legend Alan LeQuire. He's the artist behind Nashville's very own public art piece "Musica!"

Located on Charlotte Avenue, the LeQuire Gallery features work by local
sculptor Alan LeQuire and more. The gallery also offers classes teaching the
fundamentals of drawing, painting and sculpture based on observation of the
natural world and intent on improving technique.

PARKING
There should be plenty of parking in front and alongside the building. If not,
you may park across the street at Park Avenue Baptist Church.

UPCOMING MEETINGS:
TBA ("TBA" means "To Be Announced," but it's an abbreviation. See, it takes less time to write "TBA" than it does to write "To Be Announced," so that's why we wrote it that way. Abbreviations are really cool because they keep you from having to write a bunch of stuff you'd rather not write, making them a wonderful time-saver. And in a world where endless demands tear at us like ravenous wolves, abbreviations stave off our eventual bloody collapse into a snowbank.)
