Untitled, proud parent

We have adopted a tree!

Thanks to Tina's involvment with Long Hunter State Park and the 43-Tree Official State of Tennessee Arboretum, Untitled has adopted a tree under the Adopt-A-Tree program. Our group will be acknowledged for the adoption along with all the other adopters and the group will be responsible for making sure the tree keeps in good shape. If you are ever on the Couchville Lake Trail Arboretum you can visit the tree, give it some love and be proud. :)

The adopted Untitled Artists Group tree is:

the Chinkapin Oak

The Chinkapin Oak, a member of the White Oak family, is especially known for its sweet acorns. The nuts contained inside of the thin shell are among the sweetest of any oak. They taste excellent even when eaten raw. These acorns provide an excellent source of food for both wildlife and people. They are notorious for separating and forming two identical trunks which I, from a creative person's perspective, compare to a pair of pants upside down.
-Tina Ahyoka
