Wednesday's Meeting

Hello Everyone:

This week, meet your leaders for our upcoming summer show, WHERE DOES IT HURT?

Poster Designer: Melissa Martin
Publicity Chairperson: This position still available!
Artist Liaison: Shelly Santana
Program Layout: Jodi Reeves
Co-Curators: Samantha Callahan and Jodi Reeves
Installation Chairperson: Doyle Hunter
Hospitality Chairperson: John Collier
Clean-up God: Ben Vitualla

These fine folks will be recruiting committee members. Be an art hero. Join up.

Next on this week's agenda is a discussion of the Metro Nashville Arts Commission Artists' Registry. We'll walk through the steps together. This is a wonderful resource and there's no excuse for us all not to be on it. When you're ready to go live, here's the link to the form: http://www.artsnashville.org/registry/application_web.pdf

Also this Wednesday, it's another episode of our occasional, optional creative opportunity, THE UNTITLED 15-MINUTE ART FIX: CLAY PLAY! We'll bring the clay, you bring your hands.

At our Wednesday meeting next week (May 23), Metro Councilman and Mayoral Candidate David Briley will join us to talk about his vision for the arts in Nashville. This election will be critical to the future of our art community. Here's an article in the Scene about the recent mayoral candidates' forum on the arts, in case you missed it. Early voting starts July 13! Get informed, choose well.

Last Word: Recruit! Our next show is June 15. Make sure all your artist friends are in it. Link here to the registration form.
