During the night of the winter show, Untitled is planning to have "LIVE ART". What does this mean?
Well, we need your help to figure this out. If you would like to be involved with the planning of the Live Art aspect of the show, please contact us asap.
The general idea of Live Art is to have a large panel for artists and community to come together and work on a collaborative artwork during the span of the one night show.
Your ideas may help form this event and the conclusion will be presented at an upcoming meeting and be promoted within our press release and poster.

Documentary meeting this week & CHILL info

Hello everyone,

WEEKLY MEETING + DOC MEETING

Wednesday, October 17th at 6:30 and 7:30pm at Kazu in Cummins Station. We meet in the back section of the restaurant.

Parking is free on the street or in the lots across the street.

This week there are 2 meetings:

The regular meeting is at 7:30 and the Documentary meeting is at 6:30. You are welcome to attend both meetings.

Both meetings are open to all artists, are casual and friendly, and give artists a chance to meet each other and learn about Untitled and other opportunities.

WEEKLY MEETING

At this week’s regular meeting we will discuss and give a name/description to the ‘live painting collaborative anyone can participate in thing’ we are planning to do during the winter show.

You’ll also have the opportunity to volunteer for chair positions or anything else you would like to help out with for the winter show - whether it’s learning how to install the show, working on the program for the show, hanging posters, or many other fun tasks.

An Untitled show happens with your help.

We’ll also give pointers about the poster design contest.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT HALLOWEEN!!!

Please do not come to the weekly meeting on October 31st, because we won’t be there. However, you are welcome to hang out with the fine folks at Kazu.

DOCUMENTARY MEETING

6:30pm at Kazu.

For those interested in working on the UT doc with pre-production starting Dec 1 - come to Kazu at 6:30 Wed Oct 17. Goals of the meeting are to record experience and resources - assign team leads - create macro timeline for production.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

WINTER SHOW TITLE - Call for Poster Designs

Hello everyone,

MEETING

We meet this Wednesday, October 10th at 7:30pm at Kazu in Cummins Station. (209 10th avenue south)

WINTER SHOW TITLE

Thanks for the great turnout last week; we whittled down a long list of strong titles to one. CHILL will be the title of our show on Friday, December 14.

Thanks to your efforts we also landed a location just off the Vandy Campus at Layl'a off 20th avenue. Watch for an artist and volunteer sign up link in mid November.

If you already know what you’re submitting, send us a JPEG for possible inclusion in the press release. (that’s JPEG, 300 DPI)

POSTER DESIGN CONTEST

Now that we have named CHILL, we need a poster! Untitled has a history of stellar posters, many start and stay in the digital realm, however we've also used drawings, paintings, and lots of other mediums to get to a winning poster design. If you're inspired by the title, work on a piece and bring it to the meeting October 24 to be voted on.

Go here, http://www.untitlednashville.org/pages/poster.htm, to get spec information for the poster: and if you're not a graphic artist or designer, have no fear, just bring your art and we can add all the info post fact.

CHAIR POSITIONS and VOLUNTEERS

If you want to volunteer for a chair position for CHILL please come out Wednesday and talk with the group. We need your time and talent to make the show happen. We still have openings for Curator, Installation, Clean up, Hospitality, and a lot more key spots that make it happen.

Visit our Volunteer Guide on our website to learn more about the various opportunities: http://untitlednashville.org/pages/volunteer.htm

Untitled needs a Title

Hello everyone,

WINTER SHOW

It’s time to choose a Winter show title. Make a difference, make a statement, make a title.
Join your friends at Untitled, Wednesday - October 3, 2007, 7:30 PM at Kazu. (map on website)

Choosing the Winter show title isn't complicated, you nominate your candidate title, everyone votes; and, depending on who's counting the ballots, we democratically choose a winning title. Make sense?
So bring your ideas to Wednesday’s meeting. (yes, you must come to the meeting – or email us before 5pm Wednesday)

We’re also accepting volunteers for the Winter show chairs. Besides art, nothings more important to Untitled than volunteers. Come out Wednesday and offer your expertise for the last show of 2007!
…Volunteering makes you feel smart and cool…

INTERNETS

Did you know that we have a new website?
Same Name - New Look! http://untitlednashville.org
New content is being added regularly, so browse around.

Be sure to check out a new blog we are maintaining called ArtLeads. This is where you can post and find opportunities for artists, probably like yourself.
http://untitlednashville.org/artleads.htm
Lots of new postings added recently!!

DOCUMENTARY

Untitled is making a documentary! Untitled needs you!
Want to learn more? Find out how to get involved by visiting http://untitlednashville.org/documentary.htm
The core documentary team is slated to meet on October 17th to get things started.
