Hello everyone,

Summer show registration is now open!

You may also pay your fee at anytime by mail, in person at a meeting, or online through PayPal. Yes, we are now accepting PayPal! It is 2008 after all. You can also pay by credit card through PayPal.

Sketchbook Night this week and Call for Images

Hello everyone,

We hope you are starting to think about your summer show submission. Look for the summer show registration link next week!

If you'd like to submit your image for press, see below. The deadline is this Thursday!
Speaking of press, we are always expanding our press list. Do you know someone at a local paper, radio station, news channel, or maybe even your school publication? Give us the scoop!

If you have an image ready for print send it to info@untitlednashville.org for possible inclusion in our press release. We usually get some press for the show and the press people like to use pictures. Need help? Email us.
Images that are not ready for print will not be used

What we need:
ready for print image of your work that you plan to show in next Untitled show. (One image per artist please)

- cropped to show art only
- good, clear image quality
- no glare
(These requirements are important!)

Public performance this week! And a special guest at the meeting...

Thanks to everyone who came to last week's Membership Planning Meeting! Our little section of Kazu was packed! Thanks to everyone who expressed your ideas and those who have stepped up to help make this a great year for Untitled!

UP (GROUP PERFORMANCE)

Now simply called UP. [Untitled Performers]

GENERAL INFO:

Who? ... any members of the Untitled Artists Group of Nashville, of any social demographic or creative medium

What? ... anonymous (for now) performances in random public places approximately on a monthly basis hitting venues known to be populated more than usual with lots of people, leaving the crowd with a feeling of curiosity and a general 'what-on-earth-was-that' kind of feeling

When? ... approximately every month, dates to be voted on at one of the weekly Untitled Artists Group meetings

Where? ... local Nashville/Metro greater area venues to be selected and voted on by UP participants at one of the weekly Untitled Artists Group meetings

How? ... with minimal planning and lots of crazy, creative motivations

Why? ... because Nashville deserves it and we have to get all that creative performance energy out of our systems somehow!

CURRENT PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE:

At this past meeting our first group performance was voted on. The place and time are APRIL 5th, Saturday night at 8pm at the Arcade downtown (during the Art Crawl). It was also agreed that keeping our identities anonymous, at least for now, is appropriate, like a building of momentum and mystery type of thing. For the sake of keeping it a mystery, we will call this public performance "Marching Musical Paper Bags" and if you want to participate come to the Wednesday night meeting at 7:30. Bring with you a paper bag, and if you can, a pair of scissors and bright neon/flourescent paint that will be luminous at night. This bag will be your self-expressed head- dress/art for the performance.

If you are not able to attend the painting fun at the meeting on Wed then decorate your paper bag accordingly and buy a cheap kazoo at Dollar Tree or a similar store and show up around 7:30 at the Arcade and look for other UA members.

NOTE: Also during this coming meeting we will agree on a meeting place at the Arcade on Sat and finalize the actual performance details. So, stay tuned...
